A painting from Demif Gallery offered to the Pope

Felix Tshisekedi, the Congolese president offered the 17th of January to Pope Francis "The tears of Beni", a painting by Claudy Khan.

This piece was among the twenty works exhibited from December 28 to January 4 at the Academy of Fine Arts (ABA) of Kinshasa and part of Demif Gallery collection. Characterised by bright colors and made from a loincloth, this painting expresses the suffering of the people of Beni in particular and the pains of the victims of atrocities in eastern DRC.
